Frequently asked questions

Does Multisphera need the Internet?
No. It runs on a server on the site network and must not be exposed to the Internet. The portal is used for licences and updates and also works with files, from a bridge PC.
Does the licence expire?
No, it is perpetual. Only the CyberShield and Sphera+ subscriptions have an end date.
Can I try it first?
Yes: 90 days with every feature, through a CIAS installer.
Does it replace IB-System IP?
Sphera-Core is its evolution and imports the existing configuration (.IBConf).
Which devices does it support?
Every CIAS device, connected through the IP-Doorway and IP-Doorway2 terminal servers.
Does it integrate with our VMS or PSIM?
Yes, through the CIAS02, CIAS03 and CIAS04 outputs, with the main VMS such as Genetec and Avigilon. The WebAPI is also available. Native connectors and integration with Milestone are coming soon.
Which systems does it install on?
Windows 11 Pro and Windows Server 2022 and later (with WSL or Hyper-V), Debian and Ubuntu Linux, also without a graphical interface. It needs at least an x64 quad-core processor, 8 GB of RAM and 20 GB of free disk space.
Which browser do I need?
An up-to-date browser; we recommend Google Chrome. The Tuner also works from smartphones and tablets.
Which languages is it available in?
In 10 languages: Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian, Portuguese (Brazil), Arabic and Chinese.
What happens to my data?
It stays in the installation. The diagnostic package for support is pseudonymised and is sent only if an administrator authorises it.
How do I become a partner?
Contact CIAS: the portal has no public sign-up and accounts are created by the level above.
