Cookie policy
Extended notice on the use of cookies and similar technologies, provided pursuant to Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003) and the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021

Translation provided for convenience only: in case of discrepancy, the Italian text prevails.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that websites store on the user's device, to be sent back to the same sites on the next visit. Similar technologies are, for instance, the browser local storage and session storage, which store information in a comparable way without sending it automatically to the server.
Depending on their purpose, cookies are either technical (necessary to provide the service or to store user choices; no consent required) or non-technical (non-anonymised statistics, profiling, third-party), which may be set only with the user's prior consent.
2. Categories used by the Portal
The Portal uses technical cookies only (“Necessary” category): work session, authentication, language and storage of the choices made in the banner. The Portal cannot work without them, and no consent is required for these cookies. The banner shown on first access informs you about the use of cookies and lets you express your preferences on the non-necessary categories (functional, statistics, third-party), which are provided for but not currently used.
The Portal uses no non-necessary functional cookies, no statistics, profiling, advertising or third-party cookies, no traffic analysis tools, and loads no fonts, scripts or content from external networks.
3. List of cookies
| Name | Purpose | Category | Duration | Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ci_session | Identifies the working session and keeps you authenticated after login | Necessary | 2 hours from the last activity | First party (cias-multisphera.com) |
lang | Stores the language chosen by the user | Necessary | 12 months | First party |
ms_cookie_consent | Stores the choices made in the banner (policy version, selected categories, date and time) | Necessary | 6 months | First party |
Protection against forged form submissions (CSRF) is handled server-side, in the session, and needs no dedicated cookie.
4. Other technologies: local storage and session storage
The Portal stores in the browser, without sending them to third parties, some technical information that stays on the device until the user deletes it (local storage) or until the tab is closed (session storage):
| Key | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
theme-color | Remembers the light or dark theme chosen by the user | Necessary (user choice) | Until deleted |
windows_settings | Remembers position and size of the working windows | Necessary (user choice) | Until deleted |
device_id, device_token | Recognise a device the user marked as trusted for multi-factor authentication | Necessary (security) | Until deleted or revoked from the profile |
is_visited | Avoids repeating the loading animation within the same session | Necessary | Until the tab is closed |
5. How to manage cookies
- Banner: on first access, and whenever your choice expires or the policy changes, a banner appears with three equally prominent options: “Accept all”, “Reject non-necessary”, “Customise”. Closing the banner with the X is the same as rejecting non-necessary cookies. Since the Portal does not currently install any non-necessary cookies, your choice does not change the cookies actually used.
- Cookie settings: the link in the page footer reopens the preferences panel, where you can change or withdraw your choice at any time.
- Browser: you can block or delete cookies from your browser settings; blocking necessary cookies, however, prevents access to the Portal.
6. Updates
This cookie policy may be updated; the version date is shown at the top of the page. Changes that introduce non-necessary cookies entail asking for your prior consent. For any other information see the privacy notice.
